Time for some fun!
We always look forward to our January Jolly with Edward and Amy and it’s good to be able to travel a little further afield with them again. This year, I booked us a trip to Munich - München - a city my Hero and I know quite well, which Edward last visited on a Stag do with friends and which was completely new to Amy. One thing was sure, we would have fun!
As the Captain said “it’s a fine day for flying” and in just over an hour and a half, we were there. Hardly time to enjoy lunch and a drink in the air, though that didn’t stop us!
We picked up our - rather quirky - rental car, a Citroen DS 7 which proved hard to love and which, on checking into our hotel, prompted the staff member to raise an eyebrow and observe, “French”.
Settling into our very comfy room, Ellen the bear soon made herself at home
whilst Paddington - with the help of the housekeeper - adopted his Bavarian persona!
We wasted no time in finding the nearest “local”, even if it was a tourist hot-spot. That didn’t matter one bit, for the food and drink were great,
the atmosphere was jolly
and the locals were friendly!
It’s so lovely to be here in one of my favourite cities, where we feel very comfortable indeed.
Wunderschön, in fact!!
