Quiet

Though I have been quiet here, at home it's been anything but.

We had a houseful of friends the other night and not being used to entertaining on a Tuesday, it felt rather like having one weekend immediately after another with no working week in between.  Edward and Amy didn't leave till Monday lunchtime and it was a quick switch with beds and baths and so on. 

Huge fun though and the weather being as it is, we just sat outside the whole afternoon and evening eating, drinking, talking and enjoying their company.

Then, after they'd gone, I had some prep to catch up on and did most of it outside too until this afternoon when  a wind blew up from nowhere and scattered all the bits and pieces I had assembled.  A great palette of colours for the hottest day of the year, don't you think!?

I did a quick scoop and stuff into the bag and came indoors.  

Now, which do I want the most: to finish this project and take photos outside, or a heavy rainstorm?
